Session description:
My full-time ABAP days ended when I left consulting for SAP’s RIG, and later product management at Microsoft. Years passed. The skills faded. Yet as a PM surrounded by hundreds of ABAP developers at Microsoft, I kept running into moments where I needed a quick report, a new OData service, or a small prototype - and never had the time to invest in picking it back up.
That changed with two things: Alice Vinogradova Vibe Coding Steampunk and Marcello Urbani’s ABAP Remote Filesystem, which finally brought ABAP into VS Code in a way that clicked for me.
In this session, I’ll share how that spark reignited - from simple reports to better demos to full prototype solutions. We’ll close with a behind-the-scenes look at the SAP development environment inside Microsoft IT.
